Conflict Resolution Training is for Everyone who wants to Mitigate Communication Problems Before they Esculate into Issues.
Conflict is all around us. It's not something we can choose to have or not have. It just is.
It may center on something as seemingly simple as who leaves their dirty coffee cup in the sink, where to go out for dinner, or whether to buy a new printer....or it may be more complicated like, who will get social security payments, to National defense strategies.
This course is not about avoiding conflict. Avoiding conflict is not only impossible but undesirable.
This course is about discovering productive ways of handling conflict. Ways that make a difference in all areas of our lives....work, colleagues, friends, spouses, children, salespeople, doctors and bosses.
In this course, we will cover a range of skills for dealing with conflict. These skills are like tools: we pull one or more out of the tool kit to suit a particular conflict. The rest sit in the tool kit ready to be used in another situation.
Course contents:
Understanding Conflict
Win / Win
Positive Response
Appropriate Assertiveness
Co-operative Power
Managing Emotions

Schools can take on an unhealthy and stressful environment when students are worried about the "Bully" around the corner, in the lunch room or on the playground. When stress levels in schools rise the ability to learn and be part of a safe. productive environment goes down. All of these can lead to unresolved conflict and dysfunctional classrooms.
